For those hardcore sports fans out there who were waiting for an all-access ESPN streaming service to cut their cable cords—think again. ESPN+ was never intended to be like HBO GO. Instead, the service is meant to be a complementary addition to the ESPN channel on cable. ESPN+ offerings are aimed towards underserved sports like rugby, cricket, soccer, and tennis to name just a few. Don’t worry though; there will be other more mainstream sports broadcasts, including some MLB, MLS, and NHL regular season games.
ESPN+ will cost $4.99 a month. Subscribers can stream on televisions, phones, tablets, and other streaming devices.
Restrictions apply. Check out the offer on the ESPN+ website for more detailed information.
